About Ty Ippolito
I am a marketing and data analytics student at Samford University, a co-founder at an advertising agency, and a Division I place kicker. Here is how all three of those ended up being true at the same time.
How I got into advertising
In June 2025 a friend came to me with an idea for an agency. I was a marketing major who had never actually done any marketing, and I wanted a real skill instead of a grade. So I went and got one.
I read everything Charlie Morgan and Ben Heath put out, then worked through Charlie Morgan's EasyGrow course properly rather than skimming it. The tactical half taught me how paid advertising actually works. The mindset half changed how I operate, and I do not say that lightly.
A couple of clients later I was writing copy, building funnels and reading numbers every single day. I have not stopped since.
Why I built my own instead of interning
I could have taken an internship and been handed a task list. I wanted control, and I wanted to own the outcome instead of a slice of it.
More than that, I wanted a skill nobody can take off me. Knowing how to make a stranger stop scrolling and book an appointment works in any market, for any business, for the rest of my life. That is worth more to me than a title on a badge.
I would rather own the number at the end than be handed a task in the middle.
Division I football at Samford
I started my career at the University of South Florida. I was the best performing kicker on that roster and I was not being treated like it, so I made the call to leave and came to Samford to play.
Transferring is not a small thing. You give up the depth chart you earned, the coaches who know you and the city you know, and you start over somewhere nobody owes you anything. I would make the same call again.
In September 2026, against Tennessee Tech, I hit a 54 yarder to end the first quarter for the first points of the game, then a 58 to end the half. Both of them are now the longest field goals in Samford history.
Nobody asks a kicker how hard he worked. They look at whether it went through.
What I am actually good at
Connecting things that don't go together
My best ad angles come from linking two ideas nobody would put in the same sentence. That is the part of this job I am genuinely built for.
A motor that doesn't quit
Full course load, a business with paying clients, and a year-round training schedule. I do not need to be told twice and I do not run out of gas.
Taking the result personally
When a campaign is not working I stay on it until it is. That is the same reason I kept kicking after a miss instead of hiding from the next one.
Where I am going
Three years from now I want to be living in southwest Florida, near the water, running this business at a size that makes the hours worth it. Everything I am doing right now is pointed at that.
